On the afternoon of September 4, the Automotive Engineering Research Institute held a new semester faculty conference in the Institute's 224 lecture hall. All the members of the Institute's leadership and the faculty participated in the conference. The meeting was chaired by Li Dan, Party Secretary of the Automotive Engineering Research Institute.

First of all, President Jiang Haobin summarized the summer work of the Institute from the aspects of scientific research results, personnel training, student work, internationalization, and daily management. Then, President Jiang Haobin deployed the key work of the research institute this semester from five aspects according to the school work arrangement and deployed the routine work of this semester according to the actual development of the research institute. Finally, President Jiang Haobin hopes that all faculty and staff will boost their spirit, seize opportunities, concentrate on strength, and do solid work to contribute to the high-quality development of the research institute.

After that, five teachers, Sun Xiaoqiang, Huang Chen, Wang Limei, Zhao Jingya and Liang Cong, who received the general project and youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China this year, successively shared their experience in the selection of fund project topics, the condensation of scientific problems, the selection of declaration codes, the writing of declaration materials, and the experience of declaration.

Secretary Li Dan made a concluding speech. She pointed out that all the faculty and staff of the research institute should strengthen the theoretical arm, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the spirit of the Fifth Party Congress of the school, and constantly improve the ability to use the party's innovative theory to solve the bottleneck problem; to boost morale, find the difference, high quality to complete the annual assessment indicators; we should make forward-looking plans, start as soon as possible, and make adequate preparations for next year's fund declaration, postgraduate graduation, and other work; we should raise awareness, keep the bottom line, and do a good job in laboratory safety, fire safety, network security, ideological security, and other security work; we should cultivate noble teachers ' morality, vigorously carry forward and practice the spirit of educators, and care for the growth of students. Finally, Secretary Li Dan hopes that all the faculty and staff will devote themselves to the work of the new semester in a fuller mental state and hand in a satisfactory answer at the end of the year.
