From August 17 to August 30, the 2024 "Discover Jiangsu" International Summer School project, sponsored by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and co-sponsored by Automotive Engineering Research Institute and Overseas Education Institute, with the theme of "Green World · Smart Future - Frontier of Intelligent Network New Energy Vehicle Technology", was successfully implemented. Sixty-two participants from 18 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, India, Mexico, Belgium, France, Vietnam, Morocco, etc., improved their understanding of the development of China's new energy vehicles and intelligent network technology through rich courses and practical activities.

During the 14-day project study, all the students went to the ideal automobile, China Automotive Research (Changzhou) Automobile Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., Beiqi Magna Company, and other enterprises to visit and learn the advanced manufacturing technology and process of intelligent and networked new energy vehicles.

During the 14-day project study, all the participants also listened to the thematic reports on the development status and trends of new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, intelligent vehicle perception and decision-making systems, automobile development and culture, and autonomous driving systems, learned about the vigorous development of new energy vehicles in China, and learned the latest cutting-edge technologies, development trends, and development trends in the field of new energy vehicles.

In addition, all the students also visited the laboratories of the Academy of Automotive Engineering and the College of Automotive and Transportation Engineering, felt the scientific research equipment and cutting-edge equipment of the new energy automobile industry, and participated in the battery assembly activities, and had a more three-dimensional and comprehensive understanding of new energy vehicles. In the course design of smart cars and new energy vehicles, through theoretical study, practical exercise, course design defense, and other forms, students share learning results and learning experiences, and effectively enhance the academic and cultural exchanges among international youth.

In addition to the study of the project, the project members went to Shiyezhou, Vinegar Culture Museum, Pearl S.Buck Memorial Hall, Jiangsu University School History Museum, and other places to explore the changes of rural revitalization, experience Chinese excellent traditional culture, understand tea culture, and personally understand the broad and profound Chinese culture.
