On September 6, a delegation of four, led by Huawei Wu, Dean of the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering at Hubei University of Arts and Science, visited the Automotive Engineering Research Institute for research and exchange. Haobin Jiang, Dean of the Automotive Engineering Research Institute, along with Chaochun Yuan, Deputy Secretary/Vice Dean, Xing Xu, Vice Dean, and other faculty representatives, attended the meeting.
Huawei Wu began by introducing the basic situation of the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering at Hubei University of Arts and Science, including the key industries and talent demands in the region. He highlighted the school’s distinctive programs, academic development, talent cultivation, and its progress over recent years.
Haobin Jiang welcomed Huawei Wu and his delegation, and provided an overview of the Automotive Engineering Research Institute, covering its development history, faculty team, talent cultivation, academic platforms, research directions, and recent research achievements. He also shared the institute's research progress in recent years.
Subsequently, both sides engaged in discussions about academic development, talent cultivation, and project collaboration. Wu Huawei expressed hopes for support from the Automotive Engineering Research Institute in areas such as program development, academic discipline building, and doctoral student talent pipeline. He also expressed a desire for enhanced academic exchanges and scientific research collaboration in the future. After the meeting, Huawei Wu and his delegation toured the laboratories of the Automotive Engineering Research Institute.
