It mainly focuses on new electrode materials, new power battery system, power battery energy management and thermal management system, and battery big data analysis and application technology.

The Institute of advanced power supply system and safety mainly focuses on the key technologies of advanced power supply system and their engineering applications in the field of new energy vehicles. The research focuses on the integration of vehicle power supply system, battery life cycle management technology, new power battery system, regenerative braking system for composite power, optimization of electrode interface and development of interface functional coatings, detection and optimization design of battery thermal safety.

Power battery Laboratory of vehicle is based on the research of new electrode materials of power battery, single battery, power group battery, battery management system and steam electric system, combining with the new special coatings and cross application in the field of vehicles, forming a development idea from academic research to industrial application on the large scale. The laboratories are divided into battery chemistry laboratory, high temperature synthesis laboratory, single battery assembly/test laboratory, pilot expansion Laboratory, 18650 medium production line laboratory, and high current battery management/thermal management laboratory. The power battery Laboratory of vehicle has a series of test equipment including battery production, testing and management. The total assets of the equipment are more than 5 million yuan, including medium-sized reactor based on battery preparation, muffle furnace, vacuum tube furnace, coating adhesion tester, coating spraying equipment, powder drying equipment, etc.
